Water Clarity------Main Lake is clear , creeks are slightly stained

Stripers
The striper fishing has been great on Lake Lanier. Our boats have had stripers up to 35 pounds this week on freelined bluebacks, jerk baits, and flukes. There are fish scattered from the mouths to the middle of Flat, Balus, 4 mile, 6 mile, Bald Ridge, and Shoal creek. Full your freelines and cast your lures right up on the bank as the fish are very shallow most days. You can purchase blue backs, trout, shiners, at Hammond’s Fishing Center (770)-888-6898) or (770)-889-2995.

Bass
The bass fishing is also good on Lake Lanier right now. The fish are moving shallow and we have had many reports of people doing well on jigs, fishhead spins, jerk baits, and spinner baits. Green or sand colored Zoom worms on a Spotsticker jighead will produce very well on points and around docks.

Crappie
The crappie fishing very good on minnows around and brush in the back of most stained creeks. Look in the back of 6 mile, 4 mile, Wahoo, Yellow creek, and in Toto creek.
